Farm Fusion

The Farm Fusion classes at Freebird Farm have been fostering a love of learning through agricultural-based education since 2011. This class integrates agriculture into the curriculum through various educational elements (creative writing, science, arts and crafts, stories, physical games, etc.).

*2022-23 Farm Fusion classes will meet once per week for 10 weeks in the fall (Sept-Thanksgiving Week) and 10 weeks in the spring (March-May). Why? Because the weather is icky, the germs are plentiful, and the farm is pretty dormant December through February! Please check the calendar below for dates. Class fee is $330 per semester or $600 for both semesters. Registration fee of $50 required to hold your child’s spot.

  • 1st-3rd Grade – Mondays 9:30-11:30
  • 1st-3rd Grade – Mondays 12:15-2:15
  • 4th-6th Grade – Wednesdays 9:30-11:30

7th/8th & 9th/10th Agri-Environmental Science

This homeschool course is a comprehensive agricultural/environmental science course that meets once per week from September 2022 through May 2023. Although the discussion and activities will be the same for grades 7th-10th, the two age levels will be grouped together for discussions, assignments, and activities. Further, the at-home workload and academic expectations will be modified for each age group. (Younger 7th graders, or 7th graders who are not accustomed to academic assignments, may feel more comfortable joining the 6th graders in the Farm Fusion enrichment class.)

In order to participate in this course, students must be willing to complete at-home assignments. Failure to take these requirements seriously will result in the student’s removal from the course. $100/month, includes all supplies / $50 registration fee required to hold your child’s spot.
